Parabolic has two dedicated, fully-operational API manufacturing sites, a SSP manufacturing plant at the Industrial Area, Panchkula (Haryana), and one Cephalosporin API and intermediate manufacturing facility at Derabassi (Punjab).

Parabolic Drugs Limited- Derabassi

We commenced commercial production in February 1998 with our first Semi Synthetic Penicillin Oral plant at Derabassi, approximately 27 km from the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

This facility presently houses six manufacturing plants for our Cephalosporin oral and sterile range of products, a dedicated quality control and quality assurance unit, two solvent recovery units, three R&D laboratories, a pilot plant for scale-up of new technologies developed by our in-house R&D, three boilers and utilities, two warehouses, and administration offices.  The current installed capacity of our Derabassi facilities is 450 TPA.

Our facilities at Derabassi are accredited with ISO 14001:2004 certification, received in 2009 from Det Norske Veritas (―DNV‖), Netherlands, for meeting environmental management system standards. We have also received, in 2009, WHO-GMP accreditation for the cephalosporin dedicated facility, pursuant to which we have received Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product for certain products.

Parabolic Drugs Limited, Panchkula

We commissioned our second facility in fiscal 2005, at Panchkula. This facility presently houses two dedicated blocks, one for SSPs and one for 6-APA manufactured for regulated markets. The current installed capacity of our Panchkula facilities is 720 TPA.

Currently, we supply 6-APA from our Panchkula facility for the US markets conforming to the regulations prescribed by the USFDA. We also produce niche penicillin APIs such as Bacampicillin, Sultamycillin and Pivampicillin at Panchkula.

The plant is highly automated and auditable by any foreign customer/regulatory body and has complete utility support with ETP, an in-house liquid nitrogen tank and GMP-compliant water systems and chillers.
